Age 83, of Flint, died June 13, 2019. A funeral celebrating Donna's life will take place at Martin Funeral, Cremation & Tribute Services in Mt. Morris, on Monday, June 17, 2019, at 11:00 am. Pastor Sarah LaRose to officiate, with burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Donna's family will gather at the funeral home on Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm and again on Monday, from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
Donna was born on July 22, 1935, in Port Huron, Michigan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald and Vivian Houser. She graduated from Port Huron High School, class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Vernon Arlie Coop, Sr. on April 1, 1954, in Port Huron, Michigan. Donna was a loving homemaker of 6 children and devoted wife of 64 years. Donna enjoyed fishing, bowling, crocheting, spending time outdoors, but above all, she loved and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Arlyce M. Fitch; son, Vernon A. Coop, Jr. and wife, Debbie; daughter, Ann L. Coop and Jerry Bolduc; daughter, Donna J. Short and husband, Tom; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild; cousins: Barbara Lowrie, and David Carson; and sister-in-law, Irene Gillis.
Donna is preceded in death by her husband, Vernon A. Coop, Sr. of 64 years; parents, Donald and Vivian (Luedeke) Houser: and two daughters: Gail V. Coop and Chari I. Sweet.
