CABALLERO, Eugene - Age 78, of Flint passed away peacefully surrounded by his family March 20, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, March 24 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd, Flint. Visitation will be held 3 PM-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Eugene was born October 28, 1939 in New Brownfield, Texas the son of Eugene and Guadelupe (Rodriguez) Caballero. Eugene spent his career working for General Motors, where he retired after many years of faithful service. No matter what was going on in his life, he always made time for what was most important to him, his family especially his grandchildren. He found joy in many things, but he was happiest surrounded by family.
Eugene is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Gilbert Caballero, Karen Holder, Norma Jean Shepard, Randy Shepard, Scott Shepard, Sandra Gholsta; as well as many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Eugene and Guadelupe and daughter, Genia.
