MADDEN, Norma Jeanette (Reed)- Of Grand Blanc, age 90, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 3pm Monday, February 22, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Visitation 1pm Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jeanette was born in New Hudson, Michigan on January 22, 1926, the daughter of the late Norman and Maybelle Reed.
On January 25, 1946, she married her soul mate James “Bud” Madden in Flint and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2014. She never had a bad thing to say about anybody, always finding the good in everyone. Jeanette was an avid gardener, stamp collector, enjoyed reading and writing, crossword puzzles, and a child caregiver for many children. She was a loving wife, wonderful mother and caring grandmother. Jeanette’s main focus in life was caring for her children and grandchildren.
Surviving are six children, Dennis of Columbus, Georgia, Dan (Elaine) of Buckeye, Arizona, Don of Fenton, Mike (Sharon) of Grand Blanc, Kenneth (Sharon) of Winter Garden, Florida and Tanya Madden of Grand Blanc;
19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter;
brothers, Norman Reed and Donald (Carol) Reed;
many nieces, nephews and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud, 2 sisters, Lucille Levendowski and Joyce Klein and 5 brothers, Leo, Duane, Kenny, LaVerne and Jerry Reed.
