Wolfe, William D. of Flushing, age 91, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Hyde Park Assisted Living. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015, at Flushing Presbyterian Church. Rev. Teresa Peterson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Flushing Presbyterian Church or Michigan Humane Society.
William was born in Lapeer, MI, on August 7, 1923, the son of William A. and Florence E. (Clark) Wolfe. He married Shirley M. Andrews in Flint, MI, on March 23, 1945.
Mr. Wolfe was employed by General Motors for 38 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Flushing Presbyterian Church. He was a Past President of the Flushing Lions Club and Flushing Valley Country Club.
William is survived by wife, Shirley M. Wolfe of Flint; four children, Barbara Wolfe of Flushing, William C. Wolfe of St. Helens, OR, Sara Wolfe and husband Eino Graham of Columbia City, OR, James C. and wife Traci Wolfe of Columbia City, OR; five grandchildren, Zachariah, Emmaleah, William, Owen and Neil; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; sisters, Gertrude, Helen and Betty. |
