Loving mother and grandmother passed away Friday, March 4, 2011 at HealthSource Saginaw. Age 88 years. Daughter of the late John and Jessie (Steel) McCartney, Catherine was born December 3, 1922 in Glasgow, Scotland. She was married to Coll Stewart Waugh. He predeceased her. Catherine was employed by The Home Dairy Co., downtown Saginaw. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, Bingo and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Prudence Waugh, Saginaw; a daughter-in-law, Jane Waugh, Saginaw; a son-in-law, Jerry Walters, Ohio; 9 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Catherine was preceded in death by one daughter and two sons, Cathy Waugh, Stewart and Neil Waugh; two grandsons, William Smith and Brian Smith; two sisters, Peggy and Jessie.
A special thank you to the staff at HealthSource for the love and care they had given to Mrs. Waugh.
Honoring Mrs. Waugh’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011 at St. Andrew Cemetery. Rev. Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate. Arrangements entrusted to The Snow Funeral Home, Saginaw, Michigan.
