BELILL, Karen J. – of Birch Run, age 57, died Thursday, August 8, 2013 at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor. Funeral Mass will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, August 13 at the SS Francis and Clare Parish (Sacred Heart Church) in Birch Run. Fr. Thomas McNamara officiating. Burial in Birch Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 2-8PM, Monday from 2-8PM, with a Scripture Service at 6PM, and on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Contributions may be made to the Saints Francis and Clare Parish-Bell Tower Fund or the East Side Soup Kitchen in Saginaw.
Karen was born on May 7, 1956 in Saginaw to Gerald "Jerry"and Diana "Fay" (Peth) Rhoades. She married Robert Belill on November 30, 1974. Karen was a lector at the Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Alter Society, the Ladies of the Knights of Columbus, the Athletic Association of Birch Run and on the PTO in Birch Run. She volunteered at the East Side Soup Kitchen in Saginaw and enjoyed needlepoint and spending time with her family, especially grandchildren.
Surviving are: husband, Bob; sons, Zach (Talia) of Perry, Dustin (Tasha) of Morrice, Jordan (Beth) of Birch Run, Kyle (Tayler) of Birch Run, Lance (Katie) of Birch Run; 7 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Javen, Leyton, Julian, Rosabella, Easton, Andre, and one on the way; parents, Jerry and Fay Rhoades of Clio; sisters, Vicki (Sam) Raguso of Brighton, Shelly (Eric) Hipple of Hartland; and many other family and friends.
