MILLS, Dallas – of Davison, age 74, passed away September 6, 2014 at The Cottage of Davison. A Funeral Service will be held 2 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday, 2-4 and 6-8 Wednesday, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Humane Society of Genesee County, or the charity of one’s choice.
Dallas was born May 18, 1940 in Flint, MI, son of the late Glen and Jean (Thompson) Mills. He married Carrol Burtraw in Flint, MI on July 15, 1961. Dallas was a 1958 graduate of Flint Central High School, and he retired after 30 years of service from A.C. Spark Plug in 1998.
Dallas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carrol; daughter, Lisa (Michael) Kunkleman-Blondell; son, Brian Mills (Terry Mack); three granddaughters, Kara, Leah, and Ella Kunkleman; two cousins, Catherine Denil (Norb) and Linda Sabucco-Daniel (Fred); sister-in-law, Janice (Lonnie) Remster; nephew, Tracy Remster; and Dallas’s beloved cat Oscar. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the entire staff at The Cottage of Davison.
