Manssur, Donald Sedrick -- Age 70, of Swartz Creek, passed away November 16th, 2019. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Thursday November 21 at St Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Road, Swartz Creek. Fr. Louis Ekka Celebrant. Burial 1PM Thursday at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Tuesday and 1-4 PM and 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road Swartz Creek, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:30PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be 10AM until time of Mass at the church on Thursday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Donald was born on November 23, 1948 in Flint, Michigan the son of Norman and Irene ( Knight) Manssur. He married Barbara E. Miller on October 19, 1968 in Flint. He proudly served his country in the U. S. Army, in the Vietnam War (1969-1970). He was employed at GM, Fisher 1 where he was a Press Operator for 23 years. Donald was the most wonderful caring husband, father, and grandfather, his family and friends were what he cherished most in life. He was a huge Michigan and Detroit Lions fan. He attended Baker College and attended Saint Mary's Queen of Angels Church where he was very active. He leaves his loving wife, Barbara of 51 years, 3 beautiful children, Dawn (William) Gray of Mesick, Lisa Gray of Swartz Creek, and Derek Manssur of Swartz Creek; 2 beautiful granddaughters, Ashleigh and Mikayla Gray both of Swartz Creek: mother, Irene Manssur of Montrose: 3 brothers, Danny (Sherry) Manssur of Flushing, Dennis Manssur of Flushing, Dale (Terri) Manssur of Flushing, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Norman Manssur, and his sister, Darlene Miller. He will be deeply missed.
