Gary Lee Coombs, of Richfield Township, age 64, died Sunday October 13, 2019 at Ascension-Genesys. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday October 16, 2019 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison, with Pastor Todd Frusti officiating. Family will receive visitors from 12:00 noon Wednesday until time of services. Those desiring may make contributions in Gary’s memory to American Cancer Society.
Gary was born in Mt. Clemens, Michigan on March 6, 1955 the son of the late Richard & Geraldine (Robinson) Coombs and has resided in the Davison area his entire life. He was joined in marriage to Karen Stewart on June 1, 1991. Gary was an avid hunter. He also enjoyed numerous car shows, and cruises with his original 1967 GTO. Gary was a graduate of Davison High School Class 1973 and had been employed by General Motors Lake Orion Division retiring in 2009.
Surviving is wife Karen, daughters; Michelle Cole, and Molly Coombs. He also leaves grandchildren; JT Rey, and David Cole. Siblings; Richard “Bird” and wife Deb Coombs, sisters; Peggy Steenhagen and husband Robert, Dawn Coombs, and a host of extended family. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net
