LOREE, Robert J., Jr. “Butch,” “R.J.”. – of Flint, age 74, passed away May 21, 2017 with his family by his side after a long battle with a lengthy illness. A Funeral Service will be held 10 AM Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Craig Dockery officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 11 AM – 8 PM Friday and 9-10 AM Saturday.
Robert was born in Flint, MI on October 17, 1942, son of Robert J. LoRee, Sr. and Dorothy Mae Rita LoRee. He married Dawn Whitman on August 24, 1965. He proudly served his country with the U.S. Air Force. Robert was a member of the Town and Country CB Club. He enjoyed Bowling, woodworking, golf and the Red Wings. Robert retired from General Motors and was a member of Local #659.
Robert is survived by his wife, Dawn LoRee; children, Robb (Dawn) LoRee, Jeff (Tina) LoRee, Joe (Stella) LoRee, Dan (Sana) LoRee and Nick (Katie) LoRee; grandchildren, Ryan, Autumn, Jeff, Amber, Tony, Aubrey, JoLee, Chance, Trinity, Alyssa and special grandson, Rylee; brothers, Dennis (Brenda) LoRee and Randy LoRee; numerous step grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family; special lifelong friend, Terry McDonald. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Diane Gramz.
