CUTCHER, Ruth E. – of Clio, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2020 at her residence in Clio, Michigan. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 17, 2020. Family time from 2:00 PM -3:00 PM and friends from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.
Ruth was born January 8, 1942 in Flint, Michigan to the late Vernon and Ida “DeDe” (Helf) Potter. She graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1960. Ruth married George “Bill” Cutcher on March 3, 1961. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1969. Ruth was a devoted Mother and homemaker. She worked doing her favorite thing and that was caring for children and animals, especially dogs. Ruth was a nature lover and enjoyed feeding birds and squirrels. She also enjoyed sewing and made many clothes for her children. Ruth enjoyed Southern Gospel music, especially the Gaither Vocal band. She went all out decorating for Halloween, and enjoyed passing out treats to the children. Spending time at Bingo and the Casino were things she also enjoyed, but Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are: Daughters: Cindy (Richard) Bunch of Clio, Kelly (David) Bohnsack of Clio, Sherry Crease of Westland; grandchildren: Jessica Weiss, Michael Whalen (Allison Simmonds); Brother: Gene (Jeannie) Potter; Two boys that meant the world her: Robert Stacey, and Dominick Brooks.
