BARLOW, Bruce Marvin - Of Swartz Creek, age 83, died Monday, November 26, 2018 at Hurley Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11am Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Dr. Dallas Gatlin officiating.
Cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation 4-8pm Thursday and 10am Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Bruce was born in Arkansas on January 22, 1935, the son of the late John Calvin and Anna Odell (Walker) Barlow. Bruce was an outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting, gardening and woodworking. He also loved to cook for the holidays and churches. Bruce was a man of few words, but when he said something it was important. Overall, he was a loving family man and will be dearly missed.
Surviving are wife, Glenda Barlow;
children, Leanne (Jim) Newman, Bruce (Karee) Barlow and John Barlow;
grandchildren, Jamie Newman, Jessie (Brian) Fernandez, Samee Barlow and Calvin Barlow;
great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Maximilliano Fernandez;
sisters, Sue (Bob) Taylor and Mary (Art) Wineland;
and brother, Tony Barlow.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Anna Lee Barlow and parents, John and Anna Barlow.
