DARLAND, Irene Margaret - Of Burton, age 84, died Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Whitehall of Novi.
Funeral service will be held 1pm Wednesday, September 18, 2013
at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Cremation will take place following the service and interment of cremains will be at Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Great Lakes Hospice.
Visitation 5-9pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
Irene was born in Flint on May 14, 1929, the daughter of Thomas and Margaret (Dresh) Wolfenden and was a resident of Burton. Irene was very proud that she worked at Sippassy in Flint when she was young. She was an accounting clerk for various local automobile dealerships.
Surviving are sons Fred T. and wife Mary Ann and Jeffery J.;
granddaughter, Alise Irene (Tim) and husband, Tim Haney;
great-granddaughters, Megan, and Samantha of Las Vegas, NV.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Yvonne Robbins and brothers, Keith and Earl Wolfenden.
