HITCHINGS, Mary J. - Age 67, of Flint, died Thursday July 11, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. Funeral services will be held 12PM Tuesday July 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, our temporary location, Hill Creek Church 5363 Hill Rd. Swartz Creek (Mundy Township). Visitation will be held 3-8PM Monday and from 10AM Tuesday until the time of service at the church. Burial at River Lawn Cemetery, Marysville, Mi. Mary was December 17, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan, she was adopted by Jim and Fern (Miller) Hitchings. She was an RN and worked at Hurley Medical Center, McLaren and St. Joseph Hospital, specializing in neo-natal intensive care. Mary enjoyed gardening and anthropology. Surviving are brother: Dave Hitchings of Flint; three children: Johnny and wife Rosalie Hirsch of North Carolina, Meredith Hirsch of Warren Mi., Matthew Hitchings and fiance Steven Thiele of Flint, Mi.; three grandchildren: Bradley, Carrie, and Paige; great-grandson: Landon; In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the family c/o Sharp Funeral Homes to cover the cost of memorial services and any ancillary costs incurred.
