GUSTAFSON, Phillip Dean – of Flint, at 9:20 pm, January 2, (age 50) was suddenly reunited with his beloved parents and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Davison Community Baptist Church, 3104 N. Oak Rd., Davison; Pastor Daryl Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Saturday, there will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Phil was born in Grand Rapids, MI on September 22, 1961, son of the late, Pastor Glen and Rosemary (Brink) Gustafson. He married Dorothy Peters on May 29, 1982. Phil was lead mechanic at Suski Chevrolet Buick for 28 years, and very faithful in his church, Community Baptist of Davison.
Loyal, loving, industrious, and abundantly talented, he leaves behind his wife of 29 years, Dorothy, four sons, Michael(28) and wife Keri, Steven (28) and wife Erica, Christopher (22), and
Cody (20); granddaughter, Hannah; grandsons, Michael, Aidan and Hayden; brother, Tim Gustafson of Grand Rapids.
