DARLENE HOLSINGER, age 85 of Genesee, went with the angels to Heaven on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Brookdale Memory Care in Grand Blanc. A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, September 19, 2016, at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Otisville, with Pastor Weiss officiating. Burial will follow the service in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 1PM until 8PM at the funeral home and Monday, September 19, 2016 from 10AM until service time at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, 450 Wilson Rd., Otisville, MI., 48463. Darlene was born on March 6, 1931 in Flint, MI to Edward and Inga (Crawford) Perior. She was a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church and the East Side Senior Center. Darlene enjoyed dancing at the senior center, watching Detroit Tigers baseball, traveling, and shopping. She also liked spending time with her pets and collecting antiques. She is survived by her children: Vickie (Ted) Schaub, Wendy (Bill) Howell, and Mike (Kathy) Holsinger; grandchildren: Juliet, Rachel, Tom, Casey, Michelle, Matt, Heather, Hunter, and Holden; great-grandchildren: Cassidy, Callie, Chloe, Ben, Ella, Willow, Jonah, Claudia, Adam, Justin, Xavier, and Reece; as well as all of her friends at Brookdale Memory Care. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents; and brother, Bud (Bonnie) Holsinger. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Braver and the staff at Brookdale Memory Care for their loving care and compassion. |
