Upshaw, Bro. Eddie, Jr. age-58 passed away Tuesday March 22, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday April 1, 2016 from the North Central Church of Christ 2001 N. Saginaw St. Bro. Rigel J. Dawson officiating. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery 5710 N. Saginaw St. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the church 10:30am for visitation. Bro. Upshaw will repose in the Chapel of the Martin J. Banks Funeral Home 307 E. Third St. Thursday from 8am until 6pm.
Bro. Eddie Upshaw Jr. was born April 20, 1957 in Greenville, Ga. the son of Eddie and Mattie (Ogeltree) Upshaw, Sr. He attended Brown High School in Atlanta, Ga. and was employed 9yrs with Mera-Tube. He enjoyed being with family and fixing furniture. He leaves to cherish his memory life partner Vaneva, 4 sisters Barbara Upshaw, Mae (Kenneth) Holloway, Elizabeth (Curtis) Upshaw and Deborah Upshaw Brother Ulysses Upshaw all of Atlanta, Ga. 4 nieces Darshanna, Lakeisha, Tenieshia, and Daphane 4 nephews Demarcus, Sherman, Lamar, and Kendarius all of Atlanta,Ga. A host of great nieces, nephews cousins other relatives and friends including the North Central Church of Christ Family survive. He was preceded in death by parents Eddie and Mattie Upshaw, Sr. brother Robert Upshaw and sister Josephine Upshaw
