SHIFFLETT, Kaye Barbara - age 89, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Linden, MI, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on October 22, 1934, in Flint, Michigan, Kaye led a life dedicated to her family and career, leaving a lasting impact on those who knew her. Kaye a proud graduate of Flint Central High School and Baker College, where she laid the foundation for a successful career. For 42 years, she devoted herself to her role in personnel at General Motors until her retirement. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kaye was known and adored by many as a lover of animals, particularly her beloved kitties, with which she shared a special bond. Her warm personality and caring nature left an indelible mark on everyone she met. Kaye is survived by her son, Marty Halverson, and his wife, Vicki; her daughter, Stacey Rex, and her husband, Charles; her grandchildren, Chelsea Morse, Jordan Rex, and Jackson Rex; and her great-granddaughter, Phoenix Morse. Kaye's legacy will continue through her family, who will forever hold dear the memories of her love and laughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Wanda (Amidon) Horn, and her sister, Rhea LaBeau, who she cherished throughout her life. Kaye Barbara Shifflett will be remembered for her kindness, dedication, and the loving spirit she brought into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
