Margaret Ruth Lacker
Age 88 of Brant passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at her home.
A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, February 24, 2020 at Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church in St. Charles. Burial will follow at Marion Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McGeehan Funeral Homes Martin Chapel on Sunday, February 23rd from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Margaret was born on November 27, 1931 to Porter and Bonnie (Ellars) Snow in Durand. She married Harold Lacker on May 8, 1954; they celebrated 47 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2002.
Margaret worked as a Bus Driver for Ashley Public Schools for 22.5 years. She also worked as a secretary for Aerocraft Boats. During her life, she enjoyed camping, snowmobiling, bowling, gardening, traveling, and baking. She also loved baseball and coaching softball. More than anything, she loved the Lord and cherished being with her family, friends, and church family at Hope Lutheran.
Margaret is survived by her children, Beth (Mike) Knarr, Lorri (David) Barnett, Jeff (Lori) Lacker Tammie (Mike) Zimmerman, and Karin (Jim) DeLine; her 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Barb (George) Toppi, Bert (Kay) Snow, and Janet Dallas; her sister-in-law, Aggie (Bob) Burtch; her brother-in-law, Wilfred (Bonnie) Lacker; and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her husband, Harold Lacker; her parents; and her siblings, Richard Snow, Don Snow, Pauline Flynn, Betty (Max) King, and Lois (Lee) Coy-Gaffney; and her brother-in-law, Jay Ellwood.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Charles or the Marion Township Fire Department.
