Caswell, Joan Earline - Age 93, of Swartz Creek, died August 13, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday August 16 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Interment in Bristol Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 PM Thursday; and 10AM Friday until the time of service at the funeral home. Joan was born December 30, 1925 in Burton, the daughter of Clifford and Gwenola (Muchler) Poole. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1943. Joan married Fay Malcolm Caswell on August 2, 1947 in Toledo, Ohio. He preceded her in death December 25, 2001. She worked for General Motors Chevrolet retiring February 1, 1985 with 33 years of service. Joan was a member of UAW Local 659 and a member of the Red Hat Society. She is survived by her children: Diane (Ronald) Lang of Flint, Debbie (Michael) Sbiegay, Darcie (David) Swartwood, David (Janice) Caswell, Darla (Scott) Shields all of Swartz Creek; grandchildren, Brent (Stephanie) Weber of East Tawas, Daniel Lang of Genesee, Drew Lang of Davison, Andrew (Errica) Swartwod of Panama City Beach, FL, Ashlee (Jordan) Harpster of Swartz Creek, Sara Caswell of Grand Blanc, Tyler (Samantha) Caswell of Flushing; several great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Joan's family extends a special thank you to Kindred Hospice for their care and support.
