GROULX, Patricia Joan (Carrio) – of Flint, MI, age 88, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2019. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5199 Richfield Road, Flint, MI 48506; Rev. Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423 and 10-11 AM Saturday, May 18, 2019 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Friday, May 17, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Patricia’s memory.
Patricia was born in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi on March 16, 1931, daughter of the late Clarence and Thelma (Strong) Carrio. She married Joseph A. Groulx on January 27, 1951 in Mobile, Alabama and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2003. Patricia was a very active member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
Patricia is survived by 7 children, Ron (Donna) Groulx, Karen (James) Goodrich, Richard (Janice) Groulx, David (Deborah) Groulx, Judi (Scott Crawford) Kikta, Matthew (Christine) Groulx and Steven (Kathy) Groulx; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 brothers-in-law, William Fleming and James Miller; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Armstrong-Mangett; 3 siblings, Geraldine, Clarence and Jacquelyn.
