Joseph Francis Naganashe, age 85, passed away on Monday, October 9, 2017. He was born on August 5, 1932 in Petoskey, Michigan to parents Daniel and Eva (Petoskey) Naganashe. Joseph proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He worked at AC Spark Plug for many years. Joseph coached the Flintstones baseball team, enjoyed dancing, painting ceramic birds, attending spaghetti dinners, and spending time with his family. He was a member of VFW Post 4087 in Davison. Joseph was very patriotic; he carried the American flag for the Pow Wow’s, and he also carried the flag across the Mackinac Bridge several times. Joseph is survived by his sister, Diane (Tom) Naganashe; children: Renate (Gary) Lamb, Michael (Elda) Bigler, Martha (Rick) O’Dell, Paul (Valeta) Bigler, Matthew (Rene) Bigler, Margaret Bigler, Rosemary (Daniel) Williams, Madonna (Larry) Bouchillon, Patricia (Tim) Burns, and Veronica Whalen; 21 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by first wife, Irmagard Naganashe; second wife, Erna Naganashe; third wife, Ann (Bigler) Naganashe; daughter, Mary Ann Byrum; siblings: Mary Garrow, Ann Stead, Margaret Naganashe, Shirley Oldman, and Patrick Naganashe. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 2-4pm and 5-8pm, with a Rosary Service at 7pm, and again one hour prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 10am. A Funeral Service will take place at 11am on Friday, October 13, 2017 at Brown Funeral Home, 1480 E. Hill Rd., Grand Blanc. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
