JOHNSON, Francis G. - Of Burton, age 82, died Monday, March 5, 2012 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 12 noon Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Contributions may be made to Carriage Town Ministries, Eastern Food Bank, Salvation Army and or the Genesee County Humane Society.
Francis was born in Holly on March 28, 1929. He married Gloria Gildner in Flint on September 2, 1961 and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2005.
Surviving are children, Jeanyne Johnson and husband Michael Earegood of Burton, Jamie Johnson and partner Chris Dexter of Burton, Jill Jerred of Burton and fiancé Bruce Boller, Joy and husband Lance Allinger of Burton, Jay and wife Lisa Johnson of Flushing;
11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren;
Sisters, Ella and husband Bill Edmonds of Royal Oak, Vi Scharrar of Burton, Marion and husband William Snider of West Branch, Dora and husband Fred Harris of Fenton;
Brother, Bill Johnson of Burton;
Mother-in-law, Jean Gildner of Grand Blanc;
Brother-in-law, Greg and wife Janet Gildner of Grand Blanc;
Several nieces and nephews.
