Clutts, Thelma K. of Lake Ann, formerly of Flushing, age 101, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Traverse Manor in Traverse City. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Rossell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon Saturday until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan, Traverse City Region or to the Genesee County Humane Society.
Thelma was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on January 24, 1916, the daughter of William and Winnie Pearl (Lutz) Brown. She married Vernon Clutts on May 5, 1934, in Flint. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1999. Thelma was a member of Zonta, the Order of the Eastern Stars and the Flint Does, #222. She was employed by the Mott Foundation and the Fair Store. Thelma enjoyed working the fish fry and bingo for the Flint Elks Club. She was an avid sports fan and loved her cats.
Thelma is survived by her daughter, Sandra Boldt; daughter-in-law, Margaret Clutts; grandchildren, Jeffery (Sherry) Clutts, Susan (Patrick) Hill, David (Amelia) Clutts, Mike (Becky) Boldt, Jason (Holli) Boldt; eight great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Thomas Clutts; son-in-law, William Boldt; and brother, Jim Brown.
