FISCHER, Mary Jo – of Mt. Morris, age 79, died Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Chaplain Goodman Cox officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8 PM and on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
Mary Jo was born July 3, 1936, in Jacksonville, IL to the late Harry Angelo and Mildred Finch and was raised by the late Edward and Mildred Pierce. She was a resident of Mt. Morris most of her life. She was employed at Pinehurst School for many years then retired from the American Red Cross with 25 years seniority. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, playing cards and going to the grandchildren's ball games.
Surviving are: Children: Pamela Babcock (Robert) of Clio, Jeff (Lisa) Fischer of Mt. Morris, Kim Bailey (Ken) of Otter Lake; Grandchildren: Brandy (T.J.) Leineke, Robert Babcock, Bryce Fischer, Allison Fischer, Owen Bailey; Great Grandchildren: Elexis, Jacob and Brianna; Brothers: Lucian (Sharon) Angelo, Larry (Lollie) Angelo, Eugene (Song) Angelo; Aunt Ruth Finch; nieces and nephews.
