OLMSTEAD, Christopher Jason – of Davison, MI, age 44, passed away Friday, July 3, 2020. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Christopher’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.
Christopher was born in Flint, MI on May 2, 1976, son of Rebecca Lefler and James Pearson. He attended Lakeville High School and went on to earn his Associates Degree in Business. He was a quick study and picked up on anything he was interested in knowing about very fast. Fishing and golfing were two of Chris’s favorite pastimes. He also loved anything to do with cars, racing and motors, a passion he learned from his stepdad. He competed in RC car racing at various venues and stock car racing at Auto City Speedway. Chris taught his son, from a very young age, how to work on cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, lawnmowers, etc. If it had a motor, Chris wanted to tear it apart and make it run better, faster and louder. His quick wit and sense of humor were two of his best qualities and he wasn’t afraid to use them! Anyone that knew him could attest to that.
Christopher is survived by his son, Trevor Olmstead; mother, Rebecca Lefler; father, Jim Pearson; 2 brothers, Tony (Janice) Lefler and Jason (Julie) Lefler; 3 nephews, Gauge, Harrison and Weston Lefler; girlfriend, Deena Boyke; best friend, Don Gray; many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his stepdad, Jim Lefler.
