DeFRAIN, Michael Joseph – Of Grand Blanc, age 56, died Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 3-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on August 7, 1958.
Mike graduated from Grand Blanc High School Class of 1976 and attended Mott College.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his motorcycle, boating and being on the water.
Mike was a Tool & Die Maker Team Leader for General Motors Metal Fab for 39 years and was a member of UAW Local #659.
Surviving are two children, Elisha DeFrain and Nate DeFrain, both of Lansing;
father, Joseph DeFrain of Swartz Creek;
sisters and brother, Michelle and husband Victor Ferrari of Gilroy, CA,
Doug and wife Cheryl DeFrain of Grand Blanc,
Cheryl and husband Dan Shather of Flint;
several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Panneck and step-father, Walter Panneck; brother, Walter Panneck and grandparents.
