ROBINSON, William L. – of Flint, age 81, passed away April 29, 2016 at Genesys Health Park. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 N. Dayton St., Davison; Rev. Fr. Robert C. Bacik celebrant. Visitation will be 10-11 AM Tuesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Bill was born in Flint, MI on July 1, 1934, son of the late William and Margaret (MacNeil) Robinson. He married Beverly Courts on April 24, 1952. Bill was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Flint Tech in 1952. Bill was a proud union man and worked for IMA-Brookwood for 33 years. He also worked at Potter’s Lake and he said, “Everyday was like going to the park”. Bill was a mechanic for many years.
Bill is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Michael, Chris (Sally), Jim and Patrick Robinson; grandchildren, Charles, Andrew, Stephan (Erin), Vincent, Brandy, Cassie (Craig); great grandchildren, Makilah and Ava; mother-in-law, Genevieve Courts; his cat, Callie. He was preceded in death by son, Little Jerry; sister Betty; brother, James; father-in-law, William Courts.
