ANSELMO, Rosalia (Spinnato) – of Davison, age 94, passed away November 26, 2018 at her residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12 PM Friday, November 30, 2018 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 6336 Roberta St., Burton Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday and Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. A Rosary will be prayed 6 PM Thursday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Friday at the church.
Rosalia was born in Monreale Palermo, Sicily, Italy on April 25, 1924, daughter of the late Francesco and Anna Maria (Romano) Spinnato. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Rosalia enjoyed playing Italian cards, dice and going on casino trips. She was a great cook and a caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Rosalia is survived by her children, Salvatore (Miledy) Anselmo, Benedetta (Aniello) Romano, Anna Maria Jerke, Francesca (Vincent) Bontumasi, Gaetano (Karen) Anselmo, Eduardo Anselmo, Giuseppa Bostwick, Margherita Woods, Vincenza Martin and Patrizia (Antonio) D’Agostino; 25 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Vita Zuccaro; brother-in-law, Gaetano (Audrey) Anselmo; brothers, Pino Spinnato, Angelo Spinnato, Ernesto (Antonia) Spinnato; sisters-in-law, Nina Modica and Giuseppa Badagliacca. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers and sisters in Sicily.
