Clifford R. Carmer, age 83 of Akron, MI joined his heavenly family on June 30, 2019, at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit with his family by his side.
Clifford was born in Fenton Michigan on February 28, 1936 to the late Earl Sr. and Selena Henrietta Carmer. Cliff worked for GM - Flint for 33 years. He enjoyed lighthouses and boats, but most of all he LOVED AIRPLANES! He found joy in watching, building models, and flying RC's, but his biggest joy was flying full sized planes in the open sky. He loved helping family with projects, but most of all he loved and cherished his family. He married Shirley Sergent and they shared 62 years of love and life together. He is survived by his wife Shirley; 4 children, Terry (Laura) Carmer of Ocala FL, Steven (Bobbie) Carmer of St. Clair Shores MI, Teonie (Scott) Berry of Akron MI, and Candis Carmer of Akron MI; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and his brother, Chalres (Linda) Carmer of Clio MI. He was predeceased by his sister Margret “Billie” and his half brother Earl Jr.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 PM, August 3, 2019, at Dalton Airport, Meeting Hall
