Shirley N. Wager, age 81, of Columbiaville died May 19, 2012 at U Of M Medical Center.
Shirley was born January 8, 1931 in Columbiaville. The daughter of the late Hersey and Beatrice Sweet. She later married Robert F. Wager. She was a member of the Columbiaville UMC and enjoyed playing cards and dancing at various senior centers around the area. She also was an avid reader and spent much of her summer at her cabin on Miller Lake.
Shirley is survived by her daughters: Becky ( Jeffrey ) Hobson, Candy Wager-Gay, siblings: Bruce ( Joyce ) Sweet, Phyllis (Tom) Sweeney, Sister In-Law Edna Sweet, 7 grandchildren: Ted, Kim, Tina, Tony, Jack, Angela, Lona, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, daughter Cindy, son in-law Wayne, brother Bob.
Funeral service Wednesday 11:00 AM from the Columbiaville United Methodist Church. Friends may visit Tuesday 3-9 PM at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville. Pastor Kristen Parks officiating. Interment Wood Lawn Cemetery. Memorials in memory of Shirley may be made to the church.
