DILLINGHAM, Robert Eugene - Age 85, of Swartz Creek, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024. No services will be held at this time. Those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Bob was born December 2, 1938 in Flint, the son of Forrest W. and Evelyn L. (Trier) Dillingham. He was a 1957 graduate of Flint Atherton High School. He married Dorene Emma Thibert and she preceded him in death May 17, 2022. He had resided in Swartz Creek since 2019 coming from Hale. Bob retired from GM Fisher Body I and he was a Master Carpenter. He was a member of Flint Masonic Fellowship Lodge #236 F.&A.M. and the Hillbilly Clan.
Surviving are: his children, Theresa Windish (Dave) of Johnson City, TN, Beth Dillingham of Edmore and Robert William Dillingham of Oscoda; 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; brother, Gerald (Barbara) Dillingham of St. Charles; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his children's mother, Sharon Dillingham; parents, Forrest and Evelyn Dillingham; brothers, Ronald and James Dillingham; and sister, Jean Hutchinson. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
