McMILLAN, Michael J. “Mac” – Of Grand Blanc, age 63, died Friday, March 23, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Father Steve Anderson officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions for the wishes of the family. Visitation 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Michael was born in Flint, Michigan on March 9, 1949, the son of the late Louis and Marylouise (Herman) McMillan. He graduated from Ainsworth High School in 1967. He served his country in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was a member of the Communications Workers of America, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #107, Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie #3814, American Legion Post #413 and VFW Post #2272. Mr. McMillan worked for Michigan Bell/AT&T for 33 years, retiring in 2001. He owned MAK Communications in Grand Blanc. Surviving are son, Michael (Kelly); grandson, Jack; brother, Richard McMillan; close friends, Chuck Froats, Bill Hopewell and Martha Tinker. He was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lou.
