CROSSNOE, Barbara Jean (Mogg) - Of Grand Blanc, age 84, died Monday, December 29, 2014 at Genesys Regional Medical Center Hospice floor.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road,
officiating.
Visitation 12-8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be conducted by the Ladies Auxiliary #822 at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Barbara was born in Flint, Michigan on March 18, 1930, the daughter of James and Lena (Dejongh) Mogg.
She married Brown Crossnoe on November 30, 1949 in Fulton, Kentucky.
She was a member of the Eastern Stars and lifetime member of VFW #822 and the Ladies Auxiliary.
She loved dancing, singing, sewing, crocheting, bowling and going to the casinos with her friend, Pat.
Mrs. Crossnoe was employed by AC and Ternstedt with 25 years of service, retiring in 1985.
Surviving are children, Bethany Crossnoe Vargo and Norm of Davison, MI,
James Dee and Emily Crossnoe of Chesterfield, MI,
David and Bonnie Crossnoe of Grand Blanc, MI;
two sisters, Vivian Autry and Owen of Elk Grove, CA,
Janis Emerson and Marve Pesik of Fenton, MI.
numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brown; parents, James and Lena Mogg; step-mother, Helen Mogg; sister, Helen Diehl; brother, Homer Allen; niece, Laura Ann Autry-Lujan of Elk Grove, CA and stepson, Marvin Dale Crossnoe.
