BROWN, Carolyn C. – of Clio, age 69, died Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Services will be held at 1PM on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Douglas Armstrong officiating. Burial in Thetford Twp. Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8PM and Saturday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
Carolyn was born December 19, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to Arthur and Evelyn (Knight) Schulz. She completed a cooperative extension program through MSU as a Master Gardener. Carolyn married Gerald Brown on February 2, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2007. She worked at Genesys Regional Medical Center for over 30 years in the food service department. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, scrapbooking and card making.
Surviving are: children, Tammy (Cory) Klockenga, Debbie (Kurt) Lloyd, Tim (Kim) Brown, Dave Brown; 6 grandchildren, Ryan (Katie), Jason (Gina), Aaron, Jordan, Alex and Melissa; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Kalyn, Chase; mother, Evelyn Shelton; mother in law, Marion Brown; sister, Brenda Letourneau; brothers, Allen (Nicole) Schulz, Doug Schulz, Kenneth (Diane) Schulz, Tommy (Ruth) Schulz.
