LouAnn Williams

(McPherson)

On November 5, 2024 our family lost the glue that kept the family together as we lost our Matriarch LouAnn Williams. She was always there for each one of her children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews & so many more. If you ever needed an ear to bend, shoulder to cry on or just needed a hug she was there for you no matter what.

She was born on August 9, 1933 to Harlow & Agnes McPherson of Flint, MI. She had three siblings Harvey James, Harlan Edwin & Bertha M. Growing up she spent most of her time at her families farms in Millington learning how to care for the livestock, tend to meals & most importantly how to have such a loving kind heart. She was a graduated of Flint Central High School 1951. Along with her Mother she worked downtown Flint at the original Woolworth store in the office & as a gift wrapped during the holidays.

One night in November 1956 at the local drive-in restaurant called the Varsity Inn she met the love of her life Robert G Williams. They dated for about 5 months then on April 27, 1957 the two wed to spend eternity together. They had 5 children along the way, several Grandchildren & Great Grandchildren along with a handful of Great Great Grandchildren.

Over the years she was a Girl Scout Leader for Lori’s troops along with a Den Mother for Bob, Ron & Russ. She worked as a lunch room class aide for Mt. Morris Consolidated School District. She eventual went to work at Vic Bond Sales and was there from 1977 until June 1989 when she decided to retire to spend more time with her youngest before she went off to college. She also worked for Beecher Lumber & Motor City Home Improvement as a bookkeeper. A few years later she worked at Value City Department Store in the Home Fashions Department. But when she finally decided to retire fully she devoted her time caring for her youngest Grandchild & her Husband. Her & Robert decided to start their own business after they retired called LAW Airport Shuttle.

She also devoted lots of time taking her children to there many sporting events, vocal & band events. Not only did she support her children in sports but they also supported many baseball players over the years as Robert coached, sponsored & scouted for baseball. The home they built was always loving, welcoming & warming. She also spent many hours on the road going to different events for her Grandchildren whether it was a band concert, choir concert, baseball game, plays, hockey games & camps or simple them graduating from high school or college.

LouAnn is survived by her children Robert Williams, Jr. Lori Williams, Ronald (Mary) Williams, Bill (Char) Kirby II & Lydia Scheitler (Williams).
