Hugh Keith Yott
Age 84 of New Lothrop, Michigan passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday March 9th 2015.
A celebration of Hugh's life will be held at 11:00 A.M on Friday, March 13, 2015 at New Lothrop United Methodist Church located at 7495 Orchard Street New Lothrop, Michigan. Rev. Lee Sayer and Rev.David Leineke will be officiating. The family will receive friends of the family on Wednesday from 6:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M and Thursday from 2:00 P.M to 8:00 P.M. at Nelson House Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel.
Hugh was born on April 11, 1930 to Roy and Lucy (Walker) Yott in Flushing. He married Grace Birdena on December 20, 1972 in Las Vegas.
Hugh was co-owner of the US 23 Super Markets for 45 years; he and his wife also owned Gracie’s Country Inn and Gracie’s Country House for 35 years. In his free time, Hugh enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, boating, and traveling with his wife.
Hugh is survived by his wife of 42 years, Grace; his children, Judith Yott Little, Victoria Yott (Mike) Morrissey, Robin Yott (David) Leineke, and Keith Yott; his step-children, Clifford (Janet) Besaw, Joseph (Denise) Besaw, Hildivi (Ron) Dice, and Maryjo Theodore; his grandchildren, Michael (Tracy) Dement, Amanda (Donni) Holley, Brian Morrissey, Darwin "Bear" Griva, Kelly Morrissey, Matthew (Nancy) Dement, Ryon Finegan, Jordan Finegan, Trisha (Marcus) Ebenhoeh, Zachariah Besaw, Sabrina Besaw, Gracie Jo Theodore, Ronald Allen, and Nicole Theodore; as well as his 9 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Lucy Yott; his son, Roy John Yott, his brothers, Don, Dale, Lee & Tommy; and his sisters, Beth, Marion, and Leona.
