JACKSON, Geraldine Ann (Klatt) – of Clio, age 81, died Thursday, October 24, 2019 at her home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 28, 2019 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. The family will receive visitors on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio and from 10:00 AM until time of service on Monday at Messiah Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made the Charity of your Choice.
Geraldine was born November 3, 1937 in Clio, Michigan to the late Edward and Helen (Voss) Klatt. She grew up in Clio, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1956. On December 31, 1986 she married James Jackson. Prior to her retirement, Geraldine worked for the Clio Bowling Alley, Prim Auto Parts, Shapiro Paint Department in Owosso, Michigan and was a home caregiver for several years. She was a founding member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and also a member of the Flint Bowling Association. Geraldine enjoyed bowling, working in her yard, and always had a smile on her face. She was a very social person who never met a stranger. However, her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Surviving are: Husband, James; Children, Brenda McCulligh, Christine (LD) Hicks, Cynthia (Darrell) Golden; Step–Children, Joe (Sharon) Jackson, Diane Galloway, Douglas (Laurie) Jackson; Grandchildren, Amy Light, Jason Hicks, Darrell (Joanna) Golden Jr., Jeffrey (Heather) Golden, Crystal White; Step-Grandchildren, Amy Garza; several Great Grandchildren; Siblings, Helen Hagerl, Carolyn (Sid) Handy, Barbara (Greg) AuClair, Maxine (Roy) Thompson, Lora (Bob) Miller; dear friend and father of her children, Robert Irish; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Son, Baby Boy Irish; Siblings, Ed Klatt, Art Klatt, Ben Klatt, Fred Klatt, Kathleen Klatt, Gertrude Jones, Marie Gunnells.
