WOLFGANG, James E. Jr. "Jim" -of Clio, age 74, died Monday, May 15, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Living Promise Fellowship, 7457 N. Elms Rd. Pastors: Burton Kincaid, Tony Chick and David Powless to officiate. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at Living Promise Fellowship on Tuesday from 6PM-8PM and on Wednesday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM. Memorial contribution may be made to Covenant Hills Camp. Jim was born August 2, 1942, to the late James and V. Rachel (Delong) Wolfgang. He married Carolyn (Ewing) Wolfgang on July 2, 1962. Jim worked at General Motors as a welder for 35 years, retiring in 1999. After retirement Jim worked at Covenant Hills Camp as a maintenance man, he then went on to help his son at Muffler Man in Owosso, for 5 years. He was a proud member of New Covenant Free Methodist Church for 35 years. Jim then joined Living Promise Fellowship where he was a charter member, usher, sound tech, trustee and handyman. He enjoyed house remodeling and construction, deer hunting with family, camping, watching his grandchildren play sports, and his dogs: Bocephus, Annie and Andy. Jim also enjoyed, listening to gospel and country music and especially spending time with his very special great-granddaughter Peyton. Surviving are: Wife, Carolyn; Children: James (Kathryn) Wolfgang, Cathy (Ed) Aguilar, Jeffery (Judy) Wolfgang; Grandchildren: John (Danielle) Cheeney, Justin (Samantha) Cheeney, Kayla, Zachary, Kristina, Michael and Noah Wolfgang; Brother, Robert (Lois) Wolfgang; Sisters: Diane (Richard) Williams, Ruth (Dan) Hippensteel, Cheri (Don) Jamerson; and many nieces and nephews.
