Ardath A. Regan, age 80, of Holly, died Sat. June 15, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Wed. June 19, 2013 at the Dryer Funeral Home, Holly, with Rev. Sharlyn Gates officiating. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wed. Mrs. Regan was born in Cincinnati, OH on Jan. 7, 1933, the daughter of Lawton and Margaret (Magoteaux) Muncy. She was the former owner of Carry's Corner, Co-Founder of the Carry Nation Festival, Author and Director of the Carry Nation Pageant, former Holly Chamber of Commerce President, former Holly Village Council Member and first woman member, former Holly Village President and first woman President, former Board member of the Michigan Municipal League and former Vice-President, former member of SEMCOG Board of Directors, former Chair of the Oakland County Solid Waste Commission, and former Governor of the Michigan Optimist Club, to list just a few of her many accomplishments. Surviving are 4 children, James (Miriam) Regan of TX, Jerry Regan of Bay City, Sean Regan of UT, and Angelique Regan of Flint; 5 grandchildren, Heather Owens, Shannon Crews, Stephanie Schmidt, Matthew Regan and Sarah Regan; 6 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Jacob, Maddie, Ella, Jack, and Erin; brother, Lawton James Muncie of KY; sisters, Claudia Fitzgerald of WI, and Missy Taylor of KY. She was preceded in death by her husband Francis Regan and son Duane Regan. Memorial donations may be made to the Holly Presbyterian Church. www.dryerfuneralhomeholly.com
