Juanita Joan Walker, age 80, of North Branch died August 19, 2015 at home with her loving family.
Juanita was born May 17, 1935 in Columbiaville, the daughter of LeRoy Thomas and Mabel Carpenter. She later married Robert D. Walker on March 12, 1955 in North Branch. Juanita was a member of the Lapeer County 4-H, Rebekah Lodge 136 in Columbiaville, and Masonic Hiram’s Hobos #51 Camp. She was a past Rebekah Assembly President and former Grand Matriarch of the Ladies Encampment Auxiliary. Juanita loved gardening, all animals - especially peacocks, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Juanita is survived by her husband Robert, Children: Daniel ( Sandra ), Dennis ( MaryJane ), David ( Christina ), Diana ( Patrick ) Siwa,
11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, and 1 brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, and great grandson Ayden.
Funeral Service 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Jansen Family Funeral Home - Columbiaville, where friends may visit Friday 3:00 to 9:00 PM. Pastor Mark Wheatley officiating. Interment West Deerfield Twp. Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Juanita may be made to McLaren Hospice.
