CASSIDAY, Gladys Arlene – of Burt, age 95 died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Westfall Assisted Living. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Burial in Cook Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 11:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Burt Community Church of Christ at 1767 Burt Road, Burt, Michigan 48417.
Gladys was born July 20, 1922 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Lawrence and Josephine (Zimmerman) Loomis. She grew up in the Burt area and resided all her life there. Gladys graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1940. On June 27, 1941 she married Arthur Cassiday. She worked for AC Spark Plug for 30 years. Gladys was a member of the Burt Community Church of Christ. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting, and playing scrabble. Gladys was an avid reader and liked to spend time with her family.
Surviving are: Children, Carol (James) Lane, Arthur “Larry” (Mary) Cassiday, Diana “Tootie” Cassiday; Grandchildren, Peggy Brewster, Sherri (Troy) Schwartz, Amy (Tim) Brill, Steven (Jamie) Cassiday; Great Grandchildren, Collin Schwartz, Jared Schwartz, Jakob Brill, Lauren Cassiday, Eleanor Williams, Elyse Williams; Great-Great Grandchild, Bo James Schwartz.
