Leigh Marie Weiler, age 70, of Perry, formerly of Saginaw, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 5, 2016 at Hospice House of Mid-Michigan. Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 11am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Perry Chapel, Deacon Gary Edington will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 4pm to 8pm, and 1 hour prior to the service on Friday.
Leigh was born on April 4, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Charles Chester and Eva Bernice (Ledsworth) Church. She graduated from Bridgeport High School in the class of 1964. Leigh spent her life caring for others as a nurse at Covenant Hospital in Saginaw for 37 years, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed gardening, quilting blankets for her grandchildren, baking, and spoiling her two cats, Emma and Emi. She was always ready for a good game of poker with close friends. Most of all she loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren in their sporting events.
Leigh is survived by her son, Bryan (Michele) Weiler, her grandchildren; Johnathon and his fiancé Devin, Kelsey, Bryan II, and Zachary. Her brothers, Mel Church and Chuck Church, many nieces and nephews and lifelong companion, Lyle Weiler.
She was predeceased by both of her parents, her son Michael Martin, brothers; Ramon, Jerry, and Alan, and her sister Colleen.
