William Elson Golombisky, 83, of Corunna, passed away at his home on Monday, September 24, 2018. Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12-noon, at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel, Pastor Norman Beckwith will officiate with burial to follow in Yerian Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2-8pm.
Bill was born on December 13, 1934 in Corunna, Michigan to the late Clarence A. and Vivian M. (Goodwin) Golombisky. He graduated from Owosso High School in the class of 1953 and attended Michigan State University. On June 5, 1954, Bill married Ruth Ann Smith at the Vernon United Methodist Church, and together they raised six children. Bill spent his life as a truck broker, he enjoyed working on trucks, playing the violin, and flying his airplane.
Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Ruth, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; William (Jessie) Golombisky and their daughter Leah, Dr. Jeffrey (Katya) Golombisky his children; Jane and daughter Goldie, Andrew (Melony)and Nancy and Jeffrey and Katya' s children, Ginger, and Roberta, Lisa Cruse and her children; Cody, Lucas (Karissa) Keira, Caleb, Levi, Kyleigh, and Christian, Elly (Glenn) Fujii and their children; Erik, Lauren, and Kristofer, Amy Golombisky and her children; Tatum and Piper, and Joseph (Jennifer) Golombisky and their children; Ethan and Isaac. His brother, Dan Golombisky, and sister, Sharon (George) Lawcock.
William was predeceased by his parents, his grandson Clarence, and his sister in-law.
