WILSON, Paul E. – formerly of Clio, age 70, died Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Ashley Care Center, Ashley, MI. Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Friday, October 7, 2016 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Ed Abbott officiating. Cremation to follow. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM until time of services at 12 PM. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Genesee County or the ASPCA.
Paul was born August 7, 1946 in Flint to the late Elmer and Lilliam (Zacek) Wilson and was a lifelong resident of Clio. He was a 1964 graduate of Clio High School and earned his teaching degree from University of Michigan, Flint in 1968. Mr. Wilson was a 5th grade teacher for Clio area schools and retired in 1993 with 25 years seniority. He was a member of Montrose Baptist Church and the ASPCA. He loved stray cats and dogs. He never turned one away and had 25 at one time. He would catch spiders, flies etc. and carry them outside instead of killing them. Paul never said no when someone would ask a favor of him. He also enjoyed stock car racing.
Surviving are: Siblings: Pauline (Steve) Duncan of Burt, Marsha (Harold) Persails of New Lothrop, Martha (James) Wylie of Gaines, James (Kathy) Wilson of Clio, Rick (Vicki) Wilson of Montrose; many nieces and nephews.
