VALKOUN, Phillip Henry - of Mt Morris, age 69, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2015 at McLaren Regional Medical Center in Flint, MI due to lung cancer.
Phillip was born and raised in Flint, MI and attended Beecher Schools. He loved classic cars, fishing, playing cards, spending time with friends and family and especially watching his grandson Shane Bruff play sports.
Phillip is survived by: his wife Judy; daughter Valarie Bruff of Mt. Morris; son Mark Pleaugh; grandson Shane Bruff of Mt. Morris; several step children; siblings: Sandra Hildreth of Gaines, Alan (Jill ) Valkoun of Dawsonville, GA, Randy Valkoun of Owosso, Valarie (Curtis) Lanxton of Flushing; many nieces and nephews and close friend Hugo Whisanat.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Westside Church, 5090 W. Pasadena in Flushing, officiated by Pastor Ed Emmerling. The family will receive visitors from 2:00pm to 3:00pm with the funeral service beginning at 3:00pm. Contributions may be made to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
