Jones, Mary Florence (DeLay), age 93, of Flushing, went home with her family at her side on November 1, 2011. On this glorious day, Mary went home to be with Jesus. No more suffering, happy in the hands of the Lord. Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at Rossell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11-2 p.m. and 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Maple Woods Manor.
Mary was born in Lawrence, Kansas on March 26, 1918, the daughter of Harry and Ellen (Higgins) Richardson. She married Louie W. “Teto” DeLay in Phoenix, Arizona on June 4, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1978. She later married Virgil Jones in Flint and he preceded her in death in 1990.
Mary leaves behind her six children: John R. and wife Gerry DeLay of Grand Blanc, Carol and husband Ronald Shook of Montrose, James and wife Gloria DeLay of Lapeer, Roger and wife Eileen DeLay of Montrose, Marsha DeLay of Flushing, David and wife Laina DeLay of Higgins Lake; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers and grandchildren, Kimberly and Peter.
