HARRIS, Donald Olin – of Davison, age 75, passed away June 18, 2016 at McLaren Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Randy E. Ross officiating. Burial will be in New Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, SC at a later date. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Monday. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Donald was born in Iva, South Carolina on November 29, 1940, son of the late Beverly A. “Gus” and Neva (Peace) Harris, Sr. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed Nascar. Donald worked at GM Fisher Body Coldwater Rd/Ternstedt Divison, retiring after more than 30 years of service.
Donald is survived by his brother, Beverly A. “Boots” Harris, Jr. (June); companion, Michelle Dillard; two nephews, Lee Harris, Paul Bunch; two nieces, Julie Harris Saylors, Donna Lorlei Bunch; special friend, Roy Holligan; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Neva Bunch.
