BARBARA JEAN CRONKRIGHT, age 83 of Otisville, got her wish on September 19, 2017 to join her beloved husband, Truman and daughter, Jean Ann. After a long battle with dementia, her struggles are finally over and she is in a beautiful place. She was a stay at home wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening and had beautiful flower gardens. Barbara also enjoyed weekly family dinners and family gatherings and made quilts for her family and friends. She made pets out of all the farm animals. Barbara attended Goodrich High School when she married Truman on August 23, 1952 and then graduated. They were married 57 years and had two daughters. They went on family vacations every summer, including an unforgettable Alaskan vacation after Truman retired. Surviving is her daughter, Rose Cummiford; grandson, Justin Conaway and fiancé, Kris; granddaughter, Stephanie Krause; great-grandchildren: Jorden, Curtis, Destiny, and Gabriella Rose; sister, Wilda Woodbury; nieces, nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Bessie Evans; and brother, Norman Evans, Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at Grace Hospice and Kith Haven for their care of Barbara over the past several months. Barbara’s funeral service will be held at 11AM on Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10am-12pm and 2pm-6pm and on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 12pm-6pm. |
