MITCHELL, Lauri Lee – Of Swartz Creek, age 65, died Friday, January 4, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 12 noon Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lauri was born in Tawas, Michigan on November 24, 1953, the daughter of Lloyd and Eunice (Salisbury) Springsteen.
On March 9, 2003 she married Dennis Mitchell in Las Vegas.
She enjoyed crafts and visiting the casino.
Lauri owned Hair Force Academy.
Surviving are children, Nydea of West Virginia,
Bianca of Flint and
Dennis of Grand Blanc;
brother, Don and wife Chris Springsteen of Hale;
sister, Karen and husband Mark Lasley of Clawson;
sister-in-law, Waniece and husband Leon Smith of Grand Blanc;
many nieces and nephews, Jason and wife Merissa, Kelsey, Aaron, Heather and husband Kenny, Lauryn, Caitlin, Brittany and husband Andrew, Alexandra and Victoria;
great-nieces, Kennedy, Morganne and Lillian;
great-nephews, Danny, Zachary, Chase and Logan;
lifelong friend, Terry Whitney and her dog, Oliver.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis, in 2006; parents, Lloyd and Eunice Springsteen.
